IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE 2026 PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS
Feb. 2, 2026 - First day to pick up and file nomination papers to become a candidate for the 2026 Election. Papers can be picked up here at the Office of the County Clerk.
June 2, 2026 - Deadline to file nomination papers to become a candidate for the 2026 Election. Papers can be filed here at the Office of the County Clerk.
June 3, 2026 - Deadline for candidates to withdraw their candidacy for any reason. Notices to withdraw can be submitted here at the Office of the County Clerk.
June 9, 2026 - Deadline for registered voters and political parties to file objections to a nomination paper with the Office of the County Clerk, the Office of Elections or Circuit Court.
June 19, 2026 - Deadline for candidates to withdraw due to ill health. Notices to withdraw can be submitted here at the Office of the County Clerk.
July 27, 2026 - All Maui County Voter Service Centers will be open on for in-person voting and same day registration. Service centers will remain open (except for Sundays) until the August 8, 2026 Primary Election.
August 8, 2026 - Primary Election
October 20, 2026 - All Maui County Voter Service Centers will be open on for in-person voting and same day registration. Service centers will remain open (except for Sundays) until the November 3, 2026 General Election.
November 3, 2026 - General Election
