Ballot packet

Return ballot envelope highlighting where to sign and the green secrecy sleeve that goes inside.

Your ballot packet will arrive in the mail approximately 18 days before the election and includes: your ballot, a ballot secrecy sleeve, and a prepaid return envelope. Be sure to sign the envelope before mailing or depositing in a Ballot Dropbox.

Example of a Sample Ballot

Review the instructions, contests, and candidates on your ballot and make your selections in blue or black ink.  If you make a mistake on your ballot DO NOT USE WHITE OUT.  Contact the Elections Division for further instructions or complete the "Request a Replacement Ballot" link below.


After voting, place your ballot in the green ballot secrecy sleeve.  

Insert the ballot secrecy sleeve into your 

return envelope and sign the back of the return envelope.


Ballots can be returned by mail or dropped off 

at a designated Ballot Dropbox.  

Voted ballots must be received by the County of Maui, Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division by 

7:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.

BUT: If the election is within the next seven days and you need a new ballot, vote in person at one of the Voter Service Centers to be sure your vote is counted.
